How to Play


Step 1: Gather around & place both decks in the center.
Step 2: Player 1 picks a card from the Ask deck and reads it out loud.
Step 3: Player 1 picks an Act card to find outhowthey must answer - sing, rhyme, mime... whatever comes up. (Pulled a Power Card? Keep it aside for later and draw a new action card to keep the game going.)
Step 4: Act it out! Player 1 answers the question using the action. Be bold cuz boring answers = trouble.
Step 5: Survive the Yap Attack. If the group thinks the answer was weak, they’ll yell "YAP YAP YAP YAP YAP!" Redo it with more effort or draw another action card to try again.
Step 6: Pass It On to the next player. Repeat the madness till everyone’s had a go — then keep it rolling!

FAQs

How long does one game last?

As long as you want! A typical game runs for 30 to 60 minutes, but trust us - once you start yapping, time flies. If you run out of cards, just shuffle and keep playing with new combinations of questions and actions.

Is YAP family-friendly?

 The best part of YAP is that it’s designed to be played with anyone whether it’s friends, partners, or even parents - as long as you're comfortable getting real and having open, honest conversations.

Can I skip a card if I don't want to answer?

Sure... but beware of the Yap Attack! If you choose to skip, the group can decide on a fun consequence, dare, or challenge - or set other ground rules before you start. It’s all part of the fun!

What is a Yap Attack?

 If the group thinks your answer was weak, half-hearted, or just plain meh, they have the right to call you out with a Yap Attack by yelling "Yap! Yap! Yap! Yap!" until you either give a better answer or face a fun consequence decided by the group.

Can we create house rules?

Of course! Feel free to add, skip, or twist the rules to make the game your own. YAP is all about conversations that feel right for your group.
